ZS 10 Metre Challenge
=====================

Ten metres during solar peaks is an extremely good band for providing DX.
Because of this it is very popular, but as soon as the solar cycle begins
its decline, 10 Metres is abandoned by all but few dedicated enthusiast. If
you ask any of these enthusiast, they will tell you "10 is not dead".

However to operate on 10 metres during solar minimum does require good
operating skills, patience and determination. There is nothing more
rewarding than to go on to Ten listen to a very quiet band, call CQ and
literally have your receiver explode with replies. How does one know when
to operate on ten during the solar minimum? An understanding of the medium
helps. Operating skills, planning and patience play a part.

The members of the Springbok Chapter International have decided to sponsor
a contest as a challenge to promote 10 metres. You do not have to be a
member of 10-X, just hold a valid license to operate on Ten Metres.

Standard operating practice and Radio Regulations to be adhered to. Any
complaint received by the organizing committee will disqualify the
participant
